I have recently had a customer ask if they can fly to the airport closest to me to pick up their puppy rather than flying Cargo. And the answer is YES!!!

Flying with pets in American Airlines will cost you $125 per kennel. It’s important to note, American charges per kennel, not per pet. Where are they when they are on the plane? Animals are transported in the same compartments as baggage, mail and other cargo. These compartments are pressurized and maintain a temperature range from 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Document Requirements
